In 2006 the PokitPal journey began as the trusted brand that could connect Australian university students to exceptional student discounts. The PokitPal magnetic booklet promoted all the best local deals and was hand delivered en masse to students arriving for O’Week. Within a few years PokitPal had succeded in delivering high quality, student discounts across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle and Canberra with a circulation of more than 200,000 booklets.
Driven to deliver even greater results for partners, Pokitpal had to evolve. The digital transformation began in 2011 with the release of the PokitPal smartphone app. Now a tech-start up, PokitPal focused on better serving users and partners through location aware mobile technology. Mobile vouchers were still in their infancy but within two years PokitPal has succeeded in delivering mobile engagement solutions for universities and companies around the world.
In 2016, PokitPal broadened it's user base, with it's "Local" Project. PokitPal Local is focusing on bringing communities in a similar location together. It's about supporting businesses at your front door. Still in it's infancy, PokitPal Local is launching in Greater Sydney in the regions of Campbelltown, Narellan and Macquarie.
PokitPal isn't just app discounts. Our marketing platform provides advertisers with multiple channels in which to increase engagement including database growth, surveys, display advertising, in-app videos, on campus activity, EDMs, O-Week marketing, app push notifications and of course, our location aware mobile vouchers.
Recent large scale multi-channel campaigns were successfully delivered for Vodafone, The Australian Government, Hungry Jack’s, Student Flights and SumoSalad.
